Why is that I always feel like the shoemaker\u2019s children?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I am, of course, referring to the fact that while I build<\/span><\/p>\n

programs and make recommendations for clients in my other day job,<\/span><\/p>\n

stressing <\/span>the importance of social media, and blogging and being <\/span><\/p>\n

consistent and regular, my little blog falls to the wayside. <\/span><\/p>\n

My clients get fantastic blog entries and thought-provoking, <\/span><\/p>\n

dialogue-generating communication and my poor little blog <\/span><\/p>\n

sits exposed on the internet with last year\u2019s worn out shoes.\u00a0 Sigh\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My new year\u2019s resolution was to be more consistent. <\/span><\/p>\n

It really was. And I\u2019ve had a million ideas and started writing <\/span><\/p>\n

in my head many, many times. But then a call came, or meeting <\/span><\/p>\n

prep was required, or a writing deadline was looming\u2026and once <\/span><\/p>\n

again, my child was patted on the head and told, \u201cI\u2019ll be back soon. <\/span><\/p>\n

No really. I promise.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tonight, as I researched and wrote\u00a0a client\u2019s blog, I could hear <\/span><\/p>\n

my baby calling for me to come and play. And I felt guilty. And so, <\/span><\/p>\n

even though I have 3 other deadlines, a growling tummy<\/span><\/p>\n

(man, I skipped lunch again!) and a need to just stretch and <\/span><\/p>\n

get away from the desk, I am writing and posting this blog. <\/span><\/p>\n

And smiling. Because it feels good and reminds me of why <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I started this in the first place. I’ll get better. I promise.<\/span><\/p>\n
