Wow\u2026time flies when you\u2019re having fun\u2026
\n<\/span>or when you\u2019re not.<\/span><\/p>\n

If there is ever a time when you\u2019re not having fun
\n<\/span>and the To Do list is endless, it\u2019s when you are
\n<\/span>dealing with your divorce. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s kind of like writing a blog; you think you have
\n<\/span>all the time in the world, columns ready to go, all
\n<\/span>your facts and figures together\u2026.and then WHAM!
\n<\/span>All of a sudden, you are behind.<\/span> And need information
\n<\/span>fast. And you\u2019re pulling your hair out trying to get back
\n<\/span>on top of things so that you can move forward.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

First of all, recognize that you are not alone. It just feels
\n<\/span>that way in the wee hours of the morning as you have to
\n<\/span>hunt for that elusive piece of paper that backs up your
\n<\/span>NFP.\u00a0 I find that lighting a scented candle, and playing
\n<\/span>soothing music, the kind you find at spas, helps and can
\n<\/span>keep you focused. And awake. Oh, copious amounts of
\n<\/span>chocolate works too!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Everyone leaves the crappy jobs to last. And digging
\n<\/span><\/span>through boxes of paperwork sucks.<\/span> Especially if it\u2019s old
\n<\/span>and you haven\u2019t got a clue what you\u2019re really looking for.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Where this stuff will become a real issue is if you have
\n<\/span>to produce it for your lawyer to attach to an affidavit
\n<\/span>tomorrow.\u00a0 And you may not even have a copy in the house.
\n<\/span><\/span>You may need to go back to the bank or the city tax office or
\n<\/span>an appraiser to get the right document you need.\u00a0 That\u2019s when
\n<\/span>it REALLY sucks.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Something to keep in mind as you pull your documents
